Beta blockers, lithium, NSAID and anti-malarial medicines can be a problem with psoriasis. All these can worsen the problem of the skin disorder. But there are others who have seen that the use of beta blockers have resulted in psoriaform rash. Some skin specialists suggest a remedy. If the person is known to be taking non-cardiovascular beta 2 blocker, then he or she should make a switch to cardiovascular beta 1 blocker. In case the patient is already taking cardiovascular beta 1 blocker, he will be recommended to take a drug which belongs to the same class but will not cross-react. There are a number of skin specialists who insist on taking drug histories before beginning the treatment of psoriasis.
