Sometimes Psoriasis can only be treated by having shots of cortisone. The reason why is because you should not take Prednisone by mouth nor should you have steroids by mouth and that is why you should have the shot. If you have problems with the shot there are other things that you can do for Psoriasis instead.

Medications and Treatments For Psoriasis:

- Vitamin D Ointment such as Dovonex
- Saliculic Acid
- Ultraviolet Light
- Sunlight exposure
- crtisone ointments

Some medications and treatments might cause you side effects but they will vary according to what drug you are taking for Psoriasis. If you do not like these medications you can talk with your doctor and see if there are any herbal or natural remedies you can use instead of regular treatments. Sunlight is something that is very helpful and if you have Psoriasis you should try and get at least 1 hour of sunlight daily.
