How Is Erythrodermic Psoriasis Diagnosed?

The symptoms of erythrodermic psoriasis play a vital role in determination and diagnosis of this skin disorder. When the patient has symptoms like skin shedding, dehydration, fever, inflammation on skin, swelling of ankles etc. there are chances that the patient has erythrodermic psoriasis.

In case if he feels that it is erythrodermic psoriasis then he will tell to visit a dermatologist. The dermatologist will carry out detailed examination and will prescribe a biopsy test. In this test a small sample of your skin is taken and is checked. This can diagnose erythrodermic psoriasis. The skin specialist will come to know about the condition after a detailed talk with the patient in which the things like whether there is psoriasis to anyone in the family will be discussed. It can even be revealed through examination. If inflammation exceeds 90 percent of your entire body, there is erythrodermic psoriasis in the patient.
