Can Infections Cause Psoriasis?

There are several types of bacterial and fungal infections that may cause psoriasis. However, the actual cause of psoriasis is still not know, there are several factors that may be responsible for causing psoriasis and one of them are infections. Some of the infections flare up the psoriasis. In order to manage psoriasis one will have to go for the treatments that will clear up the infection. Some of the infections that are largely responsible for psoriasis are streptococcal throat infections, candida infections and malassezia. Streptococcal infection generally gives rise to guttate psoriasis while candida infections cause flexural psoriasis. Malassezia is a type of fungal infection that plays a major role in aggravation of sebo psoriasis.

One of the ways by which you can stop getting affected by these infections is to take proper remedies that will not give rise to any further complications like psoriasis. If the person already has a family history of psoriasis then he will require taking extra care during the cause of any such infections as they are more likely to get infected by such infections and intensify psoriasis. So maintain cleanliness of your skin and apply proper moisturizer and eat proper healthy food that will avoid psoriasis during infections.
