There are several types of bacterial and fungal infections that may cause psoriasis. However, the actual cause of psoriasis is still not know, there are several factors that may be responsible for causing psoriasis and one of them are infections. Some of the infections flare up the psoriasis. In order to manage psoriasis one will have to go for the treatments that will clear up the infection. Some of the infections that are largely responsible for psoriasis are streptococcal throat infections, candida infections and malassezia. Streptococcal infection generally gives rise to guttate psoriasis while candida infections cause flexural psoriasis. Malassezia is a type of fungal infection that plays a major role in aggravation of sebo psoriasis. |
