Oral medications are generally used for the people who are largely affected by psoriasis or when it interferes with the normal functioning of the body. Some of the most common oral medications used by the doctors include methotrexate, cyclosporine, and retinoids. These medicines are related to vitamin A and rarely are they injected into the psoriatic patches. Most of the oral medications are used to have quick results but the side effects are also quite a lot. They help in controlling psoriasis spreading in various part of the body like nails, skins and joints. Another type of oral medication is specially meant for people who have undergone hysterectomy or in the post menopausal stage.
