Can Psoriasis Cause My Life To Be Short? |
While Psoriasis is usually not severe nor is it life threatening on most cases, however, it can be for ones that have a severe case of Psoriasis. People who have severe cases of Psoriasis have around a 50% chance of death. Over 7 million people in the United States have actually died because of Psoriasis. Around 80% of the ones that have died have had moderate cases and 15% have been severe. If you do not treat Psoriasis right away or put off getting medication for it your chance of death might increase. Some doctors and scientists believe that it causes chronic inflammation that has a strong impact with some of your organs and your organs start to weaken and might not get strong again regardless of what you do. Men generally have a higher chance of this happening faster than women.
