Severe Symptoms Of Psoriasis

When a person has an outbreak of psoriasis they might tend to notice several changes within their appearance. Signs and symptoms vary from each individual person; however, some of the most common symptoms are:

- Small scaly patches; more common in children

- Cracked, dry skin that might start to bleed

- Burning, soreness, or itching

- Ridged, pitted, or thickened finger or toe nails

- Stiff and swollen joints

- Red spots on your skin that is overlaid with silvery colored scales

With a severe case of psoriasis these patches might range from a small area to almost covering your whole body with these dandruff-type scales. Dermatologists have stated that if over 20% of your body is covered with psoriasis, then you have a severe case.  When a person has a mild case it can be annoying. However, when a person has a severe case it can be disfiguring, painful, and even disabling.

This horrible medical condition can go away for a short period of time, but at any moment can flare back up without notice.
