Strep throat can cause psoriasis especially guttate psoriasis in children as well as young adults. If a person is affected by strep throat should treat immediately with proper medications in order to prevent the aggravation of psoriasis. Guttate psoriasis is one the common type of psoriasis tat is caused due to strep throat. Streptococcus is a type of microorganism that causes strep throat infection. Make sure that you consult your doctor about the antibodies that are available to cure such infections. You can also conduct a test that will help in determining the level of strep in the body. 

If a person is getting recurring strep throat infections then he should surely get himself check for psoriasis. The reason why strep throat causes psoriasis is because the bacteria make a toxin called as superantigen which is capable of stimulating various parts of the body’s immune system. This leads to various effects on the body resulting into psoriasis.
